i have struggled to control
the urges held within me
the demons of my soul
the pious made promises
from the liars forked tongue
leading me down a dark path
the ladders last rung

i'm searching for the cure
to my disease

jumped through the fiery rings
left my body in the waste land
burned it down with gasoline
black veil of sorrow
draped over me
searching for the miracle 
opening my eyes to see

in my vein of darkness

release me from my shackles
